Compassion without conditions

Why Farm Animals?

Because every animal can feel fear, comfort, trust, and joy—and every life deserves kindness.

Often overlooked

They deserve to be seen as individuals.

Farm animals are intelligent, social, and emotionally complex. Goats form friendships. Donkeys develop powerful bonds. Pigs learn quickly and seek affection. Chickens communicate, recognize familiar faces, and establish close social groups. Alpacas, sheep, cows, and emus each have distinct personalities and needs.

Yet when these animals are neglected, abandoned, injured, or no longer considered useful, safe placement can be extremely difficult to find. Charlotte Farms exists to give them the protection, dignity, and lifelong care they deserve.

What sanctuary means

A promise that their safety is permanent.

Rescue

We provide a safe landing for animals facing neglect, abandonment, or uncertain futures.

Rehabilitate

Each resident receives appropriate nutrition, veterinary attention, and patient individualized care.

Restore Trust

Healing is more than physical. We give animals the time and consistency needed to feel secure again.

Lifelong Sanctuary

Our residents are not temporary. Charlotte Farms is their protected home for the rest of their lives.

Our impact

More than 200 animals rescued—and counting.

Every rescue creates an ongoing responsibility. Food, bedding, fencing, shelter maintenance, veterinary treatment, and daily hands-on care continue long after an animal first arrives. Our supporters make that lifelong commitment possible.
